Startup for B-ferry service on the Larsnes–Åram–Voksa–Kvamsøya route from 1 April

Monday, 1 April marks the startup for B-ferry service on the Larsnes–Åram–Voksa–Kvamsøya route. Since this is Easter Monday, there will be a Sunday timetable on this day.

The first departure with the B-ferry on 1 April will be at 10:40 from Larsnes.

This year the B-ferry will operate on Sundays instead of Saturdays as in 2022 and 2023. The timetables have been under consultation, and feedback from Sande municipality indicates that Sundays should be prioritized based on the received suggestions. Traffic data for 2023 for the route also shows that Sunday has been the weekday with the highest number of remaining vehicles.

No service to Kvamsøya on weekdays

In April, the B-ferry will operate between Larsnes and Voksa on weekdays, with no stops at Kvamsøya. Much of the construction work taking place at the ferry quay will need to pause at each ferry stop. An increase in the number of stops will therefore delay and increase the cost of construction work. Work at this quay is now entering a more intensive period with increased activity. On Sundays, there is no planned construction work, and the B-ferry will therefore serve Kvamsøya on these days.

Here are the timetables

Updated timetables can be found by searching in the journey planner on frammr.no or in the FRAM app. You can also find the timetable as a PDF on FRAM's website for timetables for ferries in Møre og Romsdal. It is located under the tab labeled "Timetables for ferries in Sunnmøre."

The timetable for April had a deadline for consultation on 22 March. For timetables for May and onwards during the construction period for the ferry quays, FRAM has set a deadline for consultation on 4 April. FRAM will provide information on how the timetables will be for May and onwards as soon as the feedback from the consultation has been reviewed.
