Buses in Ålesund will start using the system gradually from 4 November, while the Speed boats will begin on 11 November. Toril Karlsnes, section manager at FRAM Marketing, explains that the system has already been introduced in the rest of Møre and Romsdal Municipality. - 

- The new system is now in place in the rest of Møre and Romsdal, and it has been well tested and tried out in buses, she says.

- Now Ålesund is coming up. 

Travelers will not notice much difference with the new ticket system, but be aware of a few key points.

Travel Card or School Transport:

• The first time you scan your card at the ticket reader, it needs to be activated for further use. Hold the card against the ticket reader until you see a green confirmation message. This can take up to 10 seconds. 
• After that, the card will work as usual.
   

FRAM App:

• Reading your ticket may take one second longer than you are used to. 
• The QR code is considered scanned when it says “Behandler”.

Buying Tickets on the Bus:

• We recommend purchasing tickets through the FRAM app. This helps traffic flow faster. For adults, it also avoids an onboard fee of 20 NOK.
