On 23 April 2024, fylkestinget (the county council) discussed the budget for the county adminitration for 2024. Due to the severe financial situation, the budget contained a number of suggested reductions of the operation. One of the suggestions was to terminate all on-demand transport, as this transport is not founded in the laws. The suggestion was accepted, and as a consequence all on-demand transport has been terminated from 1 June 2024.
