Tickets for express boat

• A single ticket for the express boat is valid for a single journey, from quay to quay.
• The ticket can be used on FRAM's express boats in Møre and Romsdal, which means on the public transportation network. It is not valid on other commercial boat lines or any other transport that is not part of the public transportation network. 

Transit ticket 

When you use public transport in Møre and Romsdal, you should whenever possible be able to buy one ticket for your whole journey, even if you will switch buses or between bus and boat during your trip. This means that you pay for the whole trip beforehand or on the first bus/boat you use. This is called a transit ticket.

Transfer 

You can transfer to other means of transportation (transfer) within the zones the ticket is valid for, as long as there is time left on it when you board the means of transportation. If the time on the ticket has expired before you are on board, you need to buy a new ticket in order to travel further.

When you have a through ticket, you have a "free" transfer, meaning you do not have to buy a ticket for each means of transportation. You can also use this ticket to continue traveling within the last zone specified on the ticket, as long as the time on the ticket has not expired.

Example: If you bought a ticket from Ålesund to Molde, you can continue traveling with the city buses in Molde on the same ticket.

The ticket is not valid for the return trip on a trip that is longer than one zone, even if the validity period of the ticket has not expired. 

Separate rules for express boat line 800 between Trondheim and Kristiansund 

The transfer rules of FRAM do not apply on board express boat line 800 between Trondheim and Kristiansund. This express boat line is part of the public transportation offered by AtB in Trøndelag county. Here is the website link for AtB.

• There are period tickets for 30 days, 7 days and 24 hours. 
• Period ticket 30 days is available in the categories adult, child, concessionary and student.
• Period ticket 7 days and 24 hours are not available in the student category.
• When you are going to purchase a period ticket, you choose the quay you will travel from and the quay to which you will travel. The system then calculates the price for you. 
• You can use the ticket on all FRAM express boats in Møre og Romsdal. The ticket is not valid on other, commercial boat lines.
• For express boat line 800 between Kristiansund and Trondheim - you must buy a period ticket from AtB. 

• FRAM Ung is for youths and young adults up to 20 years old, that is until your 21th birthday.
• If you can document that you purchased and activated the ticket before you turned 21, you may continue to use the ticket.
• The ticket is valid for 30 days from the day you purchase the ticket or from the date you choose to activate it. 
• You can travel as much as you want with FRAM buses and express boats. 
• You can use FRAM Ung on FRAM night buses. 
• The ticket is not valid for the airport express services in Ålesund, other commercial bus/boat lines, or other transport that is not part of the public transport system. 

If you are travelling into or out of Møre and Romsdal county, you must purchase an additional ticket for the part of the trip that takes place in a different county. There are two exceptions: 

• You can use FRAM Ung when you travel by FRAM Ekspress in former Halsa and Rindal municipalities. 
• On express boat route between Kristiansund and Trondheim you can use FRAM Ung between Kristiansund and Kjørsvikbugen. If you are travelling further that Kjørsvikbugen, you must buy an additional ticket from AtB. FRAM Ung cannot be validated on the ticket readers on board this express boat. Therefore, you must show the receipt for the purchase of FRAM Ung together with your FRAM Ung ticket. 

• FRAM Student is for students up to 29 years old, that is until the day of your 30th birthday. 
• If you can document that you the purchased and activated the ticket before you turned 30, you may continue to use the ticket.
• The ticket is valid for 30 days from the day you purchase the ticket or from the date you choose to activate it. 
• You can travel as much as you want with FRAM buses and express boats. 
• You can use FRAM Student on FRAM night buses. 
• The ticket is not valid for the airport express services in Ålesund, other commercial bus/boat lines, or other transport that is not part of the public transport system. 
• You can use FRAM Student when you travel with FRAM Ekspress in former Halsa and Rindal municipalities. For all other trips into or out of Møre and Romsdal, you must buy an additional ticket for the part of the trip that takes place in a different county. 
• FRAM Student is not valid on express boat route between Kristiansund and Trondheim. 

• FRAM Vaksen is for persons over 18 years old. 
• The ticket is valid for 30 days from the day you purchase the ticket or from the date you choose to activate it. 
• You can travel as much as you want with FRAM buses and express boats. 
• You can use FRAM Vaksen on FRAM night buses.
• The ticket is not valid for the airport express services in Ålesund, other commercial bus/boat lines, or other transport that is not part of the public transport system.  
• You can use FRAM Vaksen when you travel with FRAM Ekspress in former Halsa and Rindal municipalities. For all other trips into or out of Møre and Romsdal, you must buy an additional ticket for the part of the trip that takes place in a different county. 
• FRAM Vaksen is not valid on express boat route 800 between Kristiansund and Trondheim. 

• FRAM Honnør is for persons over 67 years old or those travelling with valid proof of right for concessionary tickets. 
• The ticket is valid for 30 days from the day you purchase the ticket or from the date you choose to activate it. 
• You can travel as much as you want with FRAM buses and express boats. 
• You can use FRAM Honnør on FRAM night buses.
• The ticket is not valid for the airport express services in Ålesund, other commercial bus/boat lines, or other transport that is not part of the public transport system.  
• You can use FRAM Honnør when you travel with FRAM Ekspress in former Halsa and Rindal municipalities. For all other trips into or out of Møre and Romsdal, you must buy an additional ticket for the part of the trip that takes place in a different county. 
• FRAM Honnør is not valid on express boat route 800 between Kristiansund and Trondheim.
