Skår ferry quay opened on 29 August

The ferry quay at Skår reopened on Friday 29 August. Ørsta Municipality closed the municipal ferry quay on 27 May this year for safety reasons, and this summer extensive work has been done to improve the quay.

Among other things, reinforcement work has been done on the quay structure and a new deck has been laid on the road bridge. The quay is now approved for vehicles with a working load of BK 8/32. This means vehicles with an axle load of 8 tons or 12 tons on a boogie.

Skår ferry quay has an estimated lifespan of 2 years from the opening date.
