Find information about valid tickets, what your responsibilities are, and how to proceed if you want to dispute a fine.
- You are personally responsible for having a valid ticket and identification for the entire journey.
- If you are travelling with a discounted ticket, you must also have proof that you are entitled to the discount for the ticket to be valid.
- If you buy a ticket beforehand you must buy and start the ticket before entering the bus.
- If you do not have a valid ticket for the journey, you will receive a fine during ticket inspection.
Penalty Fee
- Adult/senior/student: NOK 1150, or NOK 950 if paid on the spot.
- Children and youth aged 15 or older: NOK 950 regardless of payment method.
- Fake or forged ticket: NOK 2000, and the ticket will be confiscated (regardless of category).
Payment
If you do not pay the fine on the spot, we will send you an invoice with payment information. If we do not receive payment, we will follow up on the matter and may seek to recover the amount through debt collection.
If you received a fine because you couldn't prove your entitlement to a discounted ticket, you may be exempt from payment if you can present valid proof within seven days. This is on the condition that you can verify your identity with photo identification at the time the fine is issued. You must send a copy of the fine along with identification to FRAM Customer Service Centre. The fine will be waived, subject to an administrative fee of NOK 200.
For complaints about the imposition of additional fees, submit a written complaint to FRAM Customer Service Centre.
